This is so creeepy! I now always have to think of this when I get in the way of cigarette smoke. I'm so sorry to hear that you're still feeling the consequences of second hand smoke.
As you asked for critique in your journal: Maybe I have a suggestion on how to improve the piece: I think a background would have added a lot to the story behind this. For example, if the grey background had a texture that implied smoke. Or maybe there even was a hand holding a cigarette and this beast flying out of it. Or a mouth exhaling the particle in a plume of smoke. Or a child's nose where the particle is heading towards... You know, just to show the context and illustrate that it is a dangerous monster living in the smoke of cigarettes. The particle itself is perfection. It's ugly and with the greenish smoke and that slime it's awfully disgusting! Just the perfect smoke particle!
Do you have any ideas? I have this whole universe of characters that I need help focusing on, but I don't want to interfere with anything you may have planned. By the way, how's your project going with our group?
Oh well go ahead and tell me all about them, maybe I get ideas while you're telling me their story? The project's going well. Actually, I have a lot of sketches already but they are still very umm crappy, so there's not much to upload at the moment. And I have exams in a week, so I need to focus on studying marketing theories more than anatomy for the next days... But I have always time for some idea collecting, so I'm all ears!
My comic book universe is mostly based on government & alien conspiracies and the people who they mostly effect. Also, it has a lot to do with the "Hero's Journey" -if you're familiar with that archetype.
Be sure to post all of your studies whether they are good or bad. That's how you're going to get feedback from the group.
I have a teen lit anthology I need to start working on. Maybe you can help me with it? I won't tell you anything until after you finish your exams. I don't want to distract you because this anthology is going to be my "Harry Potter."
Oh that sounds awesome! I'm curious about it. But I have to warn you, I'm not at all familiar with Hero stories in general. The only comic I ever read was Asterix and Obelix and I rarely watch super hero movies. Just so you know But with whatever project you need help, I'll support you as much as I can. Yeah, ok, if the teen lit anthology is going to be your Harry Potter, better we talk about this after my exams I finish on the 2nd of August (aaaaah panicking, that's so soooooon *tryingtobreath*) It's good to have a plan for after-exams, so I'm really looking forward to it!
Okay, I will post more of my studies. You're right, it's silly not to!
